America, you want illegals to have party leadership?

If you thought that already insane California Democrats couldn’t get any more insane, you were dead wrong.

Last week, lunatic liberal lawmakers in California brought their craziness new levels when they proposed a bill that, if passed, would grant illegal immigrants the ability to serve in positions in the Democratic Party, both locally and statewide.

Although state law currently restricts the ability of illegals to take part in party politics, the newly proposed bill, SB 288, would allow them to take part in party politics and permit them to serve as county committee leaders and state convention delegates with the Democratic Party.

California state Senator Scott Wiener, a Democrat from San Francisco who was one of the lawmakers behind SB288 told journalists last week that the new bill designed to pave a way for illegal immigrants to have a say in the policies of the California Democratic Party, and as a way to stick it to Trump administration.

“We need to continue to send a very, very loud message that we are … going to embrace and uplift and support all American immigrant neighbors,” Wiener said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

The new law would  “allow Dreamers and other immigrants to appear on the ballot in order to run and serve on California Democratic Party Central Committees and as State Delegates to the Party,” Wiener added.

In a press statement that was released last Friday, Wiener wrote:

As our immigrant communities face vicious attacks from this President and his administration, California must embrace, lift up, and empower immigrant voices and leaders. Immigrants contribute to our economy, culture, and civic life. They’re already leaders in our communities and should have a seat at the table. The Democratic Party will continue to lead as the party that embraces all communities, and this legislative fix will help keep us on track.

The law, thank god, would not apply to the California Republican Party.

California Republicans have lambasted the newly proposed legislation and argue that the measure is more about pandering to party’s far-left base than it is about genuinely helping immigrants.

“It’s abject pandering and arrogance,” Shawn Steel, the Republican National Committeeman for California, said. “This is what happens when you have too much power…it’s just progressives trying to out-progressive each other.

“Democrats can do whatever they want in California right now,” Steel continued. “They think nobody is going to oppose them.”

Sadly, this trend to legalize illegal immigrants isn’t unique to the Golden State. New York recently began allowing illegal immigrants the ability to acquire driver’s licenses.

Eric Eggers, the director of research at the Government Accountability Institute, has said that it’s only the beginning when it comes to these kinds of issues.

“It’s only a matter of time before we see the expansion of illegal alien voting in state elections and eventually the Left pushing for illegal alien voting in federal elections,” Eggers asserted.

Meanwhile, far-left globalist Democrats in Pennsylvania have also started to press for illegals to have access to driver’s licenses. Recently, they’ve also said that they would go against federal law and seek to protect illegals from deportation and detention.
