Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders defended Hawaii Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard after Hillary Clinton and the globalist Democratic Party establishment levied unfounded allegations against Gabbard, saying that she’s a ‘Russian Asset’
In response to the ludicrous allegations, Gabbard immediately hit back, accusing Clinton of trying to destroy her reputation. Gabbard also called Clinton “the queen of warmongers, embodiment of corruption, and the personification of the rot that has sickened the Democratic Party for so long”.
Senator Bernie Sanders, a fellow Democratic presidential hopeful, also took to Twitter to respond to Clinton’s attempt to smear Gabbard, writing: “Tulsi Gabbard has put her life on the line to defend this country. People can disagree on issues, but it is outrageous for anyone to suggest that Tulsi is a foreign asset.”
In recent weeks, allegations that Gabbard is an asset of Russia have increased among globalist Democrats and their lackeys in the mainstream press. Many of these types have said that they’re concerned that Gabbard may run as a third-party candidate that could siphon off votes from the eventual nominee of the party.
On October 12th, the New York Times published a piece that attempts to smear Gabbard because of the support she enjoys from those on the populist right like Ron Paul, Steve Bannon, and others.
Days later, CNN commentator Bakari Sellers referred to Gabbard as a ‘puppet’ for the Russian government.
Recently, Clinton claimed during an interview that the Russian government was ‘grooming’ Gabbard to run as a third-party candidate, as a way to help President Donald Trump.
During the CNN interview, Clinton said: “I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is currently in the Democratic primary and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate.”
“She’s the favorite of the Russians,” Clinton added.
Gabbard was swift to respond to Clinton’s ridiculous comments during an interview with Tucker Carlson, saying that Clinton’s words were an insult to “every veteran in this country, every service member, every American, anyone watching at home fighting for peace and who was calling for an end to these regime-change wars.”
Gabbard is a combat veteran who served in the Iraq war. She still serves in the Hawaii Army National Guard.
