Denver Citizens Push Back BLM Rioters

From a trusted source on the frontlines of racial conflict in Denver, Colorado comes both good news and bad news.

Let’s start with the bad news.

After the notorious George Floyd murder in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on May 25, 2020, where a passer-by captured video of a white cop kneeling on the black man’s neck as other cops stood by watching, the race riots started. The metropolitan area saw violent demonstrations, burning, looting, and the desecration of public monuments.

Black Lives Matters (BLM) members and supporters immediately sprang into action and fanned the flames of racial tension into a conflagration that swept the nation.

Three days later, on May 28, protestors in Denver, Colorado, mobbed the downtown business and government office area, blocking traffic, spray-painting graffiti, and smashing car windows as well as entire vehicles.

In response, Denver police in riot gear lobbed tear gas, fired rubber bullets, and walked in a shield wall phalanx through the streets to drive militants away.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock, a Democrat, took firm action by pleading for calm.

On July 19, an anti-cop mob stormed the Civic Center again, this time to oppose the “Back the Blue” law enforcement appreciation event slated for later that afternoon. Police opponents greatly outnumbered the police supporters that day. Heads were bloodied, punches were exchanged, hair was pulled, and necks were choked – on both sides.

After the violent exchange that Saturday, co-organizer Randy Corporon, a Denver attorney, tweeted that “domestic terrorists don’t own the streets and our parks in my birthplace, once beautiful Denver Colorado…”

On July 25, a BLM march on I-225 in Aurora, the neighboring city due east of Denver, blocked traffic. The numerous protestors wanted to bring attention to the death on August 30, 2019, of Elijah McClain, a 23-year-old black massage therapist from Aurora who died a week after a 911 caller reported him as suspicious, police placed him in a chokehold, and paramedics sedated him. Later, at the hospital, McClain was declared brain dead and taken off life support.

The driver of a Jeep plowed through the BLM demonstrators assembled on I-225. Moments later, a protester fired a gun and wounded at least two other demonstrators. Footage of the mayhem showed a woman, apparently dodging away from the Jeep, fell 20 feet off the highway and escaped to safety.

The I-225 mob exited the highway and headed for the city courthouse to break windows and start a fire in an office. An unlawful assembly was declared and police ordered protesters to leave the area.

In summary, Denver and Aurora in Colorado have become a racial war zone. Not all the protestors are violent. And not all of them are local. BLM and Antifa thugs are showing up in carloads and being bussed in to select locations where they can lash out, heedless of law or consequence.

And now, for the good news:

The trusted source (TS) who provided this first-hand report described how he and fellow Patriots fought back successfully against the bullying BLMers – without firearms. This man, in his 50s, is skilled in medieval martial arts and practices jousting and hand-to-hand combat with bamboo sticks or poles wrapped with foam secured by duct tape.

TS and many of his friends and fellow compatriots are accomplished battle strategists and tacticians. They all love to don their padded armor and helmets so they can whack each other safely, leaving only bruises.

A few days before Sunday, August 24, the anniversary of Elijah McClain’s lethal choking, TS messaged:

“ANTIFA & BLM are planning a protest, and I’m sure it will escalate to more. It had been reported by our sources that they may have numbers as high as four thousand, with many coming on busses from other troubled and ravaged cities to support their Denver factions.”

Then came a call for everyone able to prepare to help law enforcement counter the violent and destructive protesters expected in Aurora on Saturday evening, August 23:

“They need our help. They need our support. The police’s hands are tied. Aurora and surrounding businesses have been told to board up shops and create emergency evacuation plans for employees. The community is scared in Aurora. We need to stand up and protect this community from the attacks they’re facing on Sunday.”

TS said the Denver Antifa group is much more organized – and prepared – than what the locals have been seeing in their small backyard encounters with the anti-fascists.

The coordinated resistance paid off, as revealed in this text sent after the weekend:

“ANTIFA & BLM sent scouts to take pics of our areas and personnel.

It seems they decided to not loot storefronts along Colfax down past Chambers. It turns out they decided to concentrate on Downtown Denver as they did on Saturday night.

“However, we had a surprise for them waiting there. A hundred or so militiamen seventy of which drove up from Colorado Springs met with them, I knocked one ANTIFA guy out who was trying to burn the US flag! Several of ANTIFA & BLM were arrested.”
