Forget the monoliths that have been appearing all around the world — Toronto’s mysterious High Park statue is way creepier.
A post in the Facebook group “Weird Toronto” first brought the statue to people’s attention on December 3, and folks were stumped as to what it was doing there.
The statue is still there now, and people are still just as curious.
The statue is hidden deep in Toronto’s High Park, near the Colborne Lodge in the south of the park.
The horned statue seems to be made from a mix of mud, cement, and wood, with arms, eyes, and a supporting post.
Narcity has reached out to the supposed sculptor, whose friend commented on the original Facebook post.
Plenty of people had their curiosity piqued by the statue — one visitor named Maggie told Narcity the statue reminded her of some sort of Earth spirit.
Whatever the inspiration for the structure, it’s nice to know that Toronto has a new guardian keeping an eye on things.
Earth creature? More like satan’s passage.
This appears to be a demonic, pagan structure. It’s not what citizens should want “guarding” their city. Take it down.
Looks like the leader of Canada. A good likeness.
Tear it down and remove it’s material to the dump.

It looks demonic to me! Please somebody up there in Canada please make it a bonfire before the arts commission calls it public art and try’s to memorialize and preserve it.

What is wrong with the people in this world! If the park didn’t build that thing, and no one got permission to build it than the park needs to burn that evil thing down!!! Until there’s nothing left of it, this world use to have morals and respect for everyone and everything in this world, we all need to stand up for our rights again and stop allowing the evil in this world to take over,get rid of that thing, it’s nothing but evil evil evil!!!!!!!
Toronto has a new guard looking at things or you kidding? Have you all become so spiritually blind that you don’t see the writing on the wall you were all sheep. I don’t want to tell you where you’re going. You will figure it out in the end
It is very apparent that this is a demonic statue.
If folks dont like it they can destroy it just like they have done all over America lt may be morally reprehensible but their choice regardless.
