Tamika Palmer, the mother of Breonna Taylor, said that her local Black Lives Matter chapter is a fraudulent money-grabbing organization that “has never done a damn thing for us.”
“I have personally dealt with BLM Louisville and personally have found them to be fraud, Attica Scott another fraud,” Palmer wrote on Facebook. The post has since been removed.
“I could walk in a room full of people who claim to be here for Breonna’s family who don’t even know who I am, I’ve watched y’all raise money on behalf of Breonna’s family who has never done a damn thing for us nor have we needed it or asked so talk about fraud,” the post continued.
Palmer also claimed that Black Lives Matter and the people involved in it have “lost focus” of their original goal.
“I’m a say this before I go, I’m so sick of some of y’all and I was last anybody who needs it,” she wrote. “Enough is enough!!”
Palmer’s frustration with Black Lives Matter comes at the same time the organization’s co-founder, Patrisse Cullors, purchased at least four luxurious homes in mainly white neighborhoods for approximately $3.2 million. Cullors has previously claimed to be a “trained Marxist.”
