Female Kills Mass Shooter One Day After Uvalde Mass Shooting

Our hearts and prayers go out to the Uvalde, Texas school shooting victims, their families, and everyone whose lives were touched by the deeply sad news.

The Uvalde school shooting has been deemed the 7^th largest mass shooting in recent history and happened on May 24, 2022, at Robb Elementary.

Within 24 hours after the mass school shooting, another mass shooting took place in Charleston, West Virginia. The shooter, 37-year-old Dennis Butler, was speeding in an apartment complex and was asked by neighbors of the community to slow down because of children at play, according to authorities.

Butler, who has an extensive criminal record, left the apartment complex and returned armed with a  legally owned AR-15,  parked his car, and began to shoot children and parents attending a graduation party outside of the apartment complex. 

A party attendee saw the commotion, pulled out her pistol, and shot and killed the crazed shooter before anyone at the party was shot or killed.  It was a brave move. Wow. This could have turned out a lot worse.

No charges will be filed against the woman who killed Butler.

West Virginia is a permitless carry state, which means you can open carry and conceal carry legally. You must be 18-years old to open carry and at least 21 to conceal carry.

According to reports, American citizens, not police officers, have intervened successfully in 6 active shooter events in 2020 and in 2021.

Here’s one heroic story from May 2021, where an Idaho teacher disarmed a student in a shooting that injured 3.  Schoolteacher Krista Gneiting was inside the middle school hallway when she saw a student pull a gun out of her backpack, took immediate action, and grappled the gun away from the student.
