Last week President Joe Biden was in Delaware with Jill Biden and fell when biking.
On Saturday, June 18th President Biden and his crew, including First Lady Jill Biden, took a casual bike stroll in the beautiful and sunny state of Delaware.
As you’d think, there were plenty of onlookers as he strolled across the street on his bike, drove over the crosswalk, and towards the crowd. As he approaches the crowd, he leans over to stop and put his foot down. Unfortunately, his foot got caught on the pedal mechanism and he took a nasty fall on the hard pavement.
“As the President said, his foot got caught on the pedal while dismounting and he is fine. No medical attention is needed. The President looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family,” the official said.
“I got my foot caught” on the toe cage, Biden told reporters traveling with him later. “I’m good.”
There were plenty of memes going around about Biden’s fall, one saying he was “leaning too far to the left” when he fell.
Of course, if you look at the clip, he was actually putting his right foot down to stop, not his left. But the memes are nevertheless humorous, especially since he didn’t get hurt.
After his secret service agents helped him up, the crowd applauded when he got back on his feet. Afterward, he talked to the crowd and let one onlooker meet his dog, Commander.
According to doctors Biden is “fine” after the fall on Saturday and did not need medical attention.
The Bidens were spending a long weekend at their home in Rehoboth Beach, in part to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary.
