Letter Of Plea From Chuck Grassley
In an explosive letter by top Republican Senate Judiciary Committee, Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, written on July 25th to Attorney General Garland and Director Wray, “The information provided to my office involves concerns about the FBI’s receipt and use of derogatory information relating to Hunter Biden, and the FBI’s false portrayal of acquired evidence as disinformation. The volume and consistency of these allegations substantiate their credibility and necessitate this letter.”
The letter insists that both offices are “institutionally corrupted to their very core.” Grassley claims a 2020 intelligence assessment about Biden’s criminal financial history was used by FBI Headquarters to “improperly discredit negative Hunter Biden Information as disinformation.”
Grassley claimed one of the communications from whistleblowers showed “verified and verifiable derogatory information on Hunter Biden was falsely labeled as disinformation.” He said the “volume and consistency” of the whistleblower allegations “substantiate their credibility.”
Hunter Biden’s Investigations
The FBI inquiry into Hunter Biden reportedly began as a tax investigation, then expanded into scrutinizing possible money-laundering and foreign lobbying, where the DOJ has declined to hand over investigative details.
Before the 2020 election, Grassley recalls, another investigation was ordered to be closed by then agent Timothy Thibault due to the risk of “disinformation.”
In May, Grassley sent a letter to the FBI demanding an investigation into Thibault’s alleged pattern of partisan social media activity, which included retweets about anti-Trump projects.
Grassley is calling on the FBI to release key records on the Biden investigation by August 8.
