The Biden administration has agreed to spend $80 million on a contract that provides for tracking of illegal aliens after they are released into the United States.
But it specifically bans the use of GPS, a technology that makes tracking locations very easy.
A new report from the Washington Free Beacon said that decision – to ban the use of GPS tech – was deemed by experts to make it “impossible” to track them.
“The system, according to government records reviewed by the Washington Free Beacon, is meant to track illegal immigrants via monthly check-ins via phone. Migrants released into the U.S. interior aged 18-19 are eligible for the program. Any GPS monitoring that would give exact locations, such as ankle monitor tracking, is explicitly forbidden, according to the contract,” the report explained.
That provision actually contradicts the Biden administration’s claims that the federal government is spending its money on “sophisticated monitoring programs for illegal immigrants,” the report said.
“When Republican lawmakers criticized the White House over reports in April that immigration authorities were providing cell phones for illegal immigrants upon their release into the United States, the White House defended the conduct, saying the phones assist the government in monitoring the location of illegal immigrants.”
Then White House press secretary claimed, “We need to take steps to ensure that we know where individuals are and we can track and we can check in with them.”
The deal is with Acuity International and the first payment of about $16 million already has been paid. The contract total in $79.5 million.
The report explained, “Caliburn International rebranded as Acuity International in 2021,” and that likely was because under the Caliburn name it had run a shelter for child migrants that was the targeted with criticism from Democrats in Congress.
Now, the new program essentially lets illegals roam the nation before their court date under the title of “Alternatives to Detention.”
The Free Beacon said Biden dramatically has expanded the release programs for illegals, and the government is using private contractors more and more because of the sheer number – estimated at about four million – who have come in under Biden’s open borders practices.

When I was working for the U.S. State Department in Afghanastan the U.S. program USAID gave cell phones to Afghan military and border guards. We were paying their salaries and their commanders were taking it from them. Typical Afghan corruption. The plan was to pay them by phone accounts and they could go to a bank to get their money. Result was their commanders took the phones to the bank. Made it much eaiser for the commanders. This phone deal of Bidens is another stupid plan that will not work. I will say this. Our government (The Biden Administration) has allowed millions of non-citizens into our country without any health checks or accountability foir their welfare. I have NO,NO.NO use for anyone who enters our country illegally. I am a retired Customs and Border Patrol Officer. I do absolutely believe that we need to take care of them now that we have let them in. Biden let them in and now he does not want to take care of them. I think I am addicted to reading all of the comments on these social sites. I read many every day while I enjoy my morning coffee (2) cups and about 45 minutes. It is apparent (to me) that these polls posted everywhere are so one-sided. “Biden’s approval numbers are going up” is total bull crap. I would say that his approval rate is about 20%, at best. That is the percentage of people who say he is doing a good job. My poll shows him at a 75% disapproval rate on everything he touches. PEOPLE<< check these things out. Look them up and do your own poll on what you found. Do not take my word for it. I am 79 and an old hard ass veteran. I do not do guilt or BS. I self check a lot and I find that even I am not truthful to myself all the time. Np one likes to admit that they are wrong and have been played for a fool. DO NOT BE A FOOL!!!
