Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, reportedly asked former President Trump to be his running mate for his 2024 presidential run. The rapper posted a video on Twitter in which he recounted his recent dinner with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida. Along with the video he posted a number of “Ye 24” graphics.

In the video, he noted that the thing Trump found most surprising was when he asked him to become the vice President. Ye recounted that following that Trump screamed at him over the table regarding his statement about running.

The video said that Trump shouted at him that Ye would lose, to which Ye responded by saying “hold on, hold on, hold on, Trump, you’re talking to Ye.”

Ye had previously attempted to run for the White House in 2020. In the past, he has been a supporter of Trump and the two even met in 2018 in the Oval Office.

Only one day after the 2020 presidential election, the rapper posted a photo of a state map with the caption “KANYE 2024.” In an interview with ABC in September, he also told Linsey Davis that he still has political aspirations.

In his newest videos, Ye also spoke about how the Jan. 6 prisoners were being treated “unfairly (ly)” and has said that Trump should have freed them when he still had the chance.
